Establishing a new program
新プログラムの開設にあたって

Since fiscal year 2020, due to the COVID-19 difficulties we have been forced to cancel the exchange study program in which overseas students study in Japan.
As a result of our search for a new program that can be tackled online, we have created a program that visualizes an overview of some of the Japanese culture-related subjects that can be studied in English at this school. In addition, we have selected topics that the University wants to introduce overseas as culture unique to Japan. Companies and individuals who agreed with the aims of this program also cooperated in the production of content.
We hope that you will participate in this program and that it will deepen your interest in Japan, Japanese culture, and our University, as well as offering you an opportunity to consider studying abroad at AGU.

2020年度からのコロナ禍のため、日本に来日して本学で学習する交換留学プログラムを中止せざるを得ない状況が続いております。
そのような中、オンラインで取り組むことができる新たなプログラムの開設を模索した結果、本学において英語で学べる日本文化関連の科目の中から一部のトピックの概要を映像化するプログラムの案を創設いたしました。また、本学が日本固有の文化として海外に紹介したいトピックを選定し、本プログラムの趣旨にご賛同いただいた企業や個人にもコンテンツ製作へのご協力をいただきました。

Introduction of “AGU Japanese Culture Box”
「AGU Japanese Culture Box」の紹介

AGU Japanese Culture Box is a video distribution service that delivers content on various topics, from Japanese general culture to subculture, and allows users to watch it free of charge, with a view to getting people interested in Japan and Japanese culture. The content is available for any student enrolled in an overseas university that is a partner of Aoyama Gakuin University.

There are two types of content provided.
1. Videos of some of the topics included in the Japanese culture-related classes offered in English at our school.
2. Movies provided by companies and individuals who endorsed the purpose of this program as “culture unique to Japan”

You can learn at your own pace, regardless of time or place. Interaction is possible with the instructors through questions and impressions of the videos.

AGU Japanese Culture Boxとは、日本および日本文化に興味を持ってもらうことを念頭に、日本のメインカルチャーからサブカルチャーまで様々なトピックのコンテンツを配信し、無料で視聴できる動画配信サービスです。青山学院大学と協定を締結している海外の大学に在籍する学生はどなたでも視聴することができます。

提供するコンテンツの内容は2種類ございます。
1. 本学で開講している英語で日本文化関連を学ぶ科目の一部を映像化した動画
2. “日本固有の文化”として、本プログラムの趣旨にご賛同いただいた企業や個人が作製した動画

時間や場所を問わず、自身のペースで学ぶことができます。動画の講師への質問や感想を通じて、双方向の交流を可能です。

申込みの際の注意事項

1. AGU Japanese Culture Box users are limited to students enrolled in universities abroad that have agreemnts with Aoyama Gakuin University.

1. 「AGU Japanese Culture Box」の利用者は、青山学院大学と協定を締結している海外の大学に在籍する学生のみに限定いたします。

2. Personal information obtained by Aoayama Gakuin University is provided to Forest Academy Co., Ltd., an entrusted company. It will not be provided to any third party other than the Forest Academy Limited Liability Comapany.

2. 青山学院大学が取得した個人情報は、業務委託先である有限会社フォレストアカデミーに提供されます。有限会社フォレストアカデミー以外の第三者へ提供することはありません。

3. Unauthorized copying and alteration of all videos, photographs, and logos posted on the website of Aoyama Gakuin University International Center, and on the Applicant’s website exclusively for viewing videos, as well as unauthorised quoting, is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be strictly dealt with.

3. 青山学院大学国際センターのHP及び申込者の動画閲覧専用ウェブサイトに掲載する、全ての動画・写真・ロゴマークの無断複写及び変造、引用等の不正利用を固く禁止いたします。なお、違反者には厳正に対処いたします。

4. Aoyama Gakuin University may email you with questionnaire of AGU Japanese Culture Box or information and events related to international exchange.

4. 今後、青山学院大学から本プログラムのアンケート調査、また国際交流関連の情報やイベント等の案内をメールでお送りすることがございます。案内はご希望される方のみお送りさせていただきますので、ご希望されない方もAGU Japanese Culture Boxにはご参加いただけます。

※About the Logo
The Logo’s design is based on the “Hakone Yosegi-zaiku”, a Japanese traditional marquetry created by putting together wooden pieces of varying colors, textures and sizes. The design represents the various topics that are available in this program.

日本の伝統工芸品で、色や素材、サイズの異なる木材を組み合わせて作られる「箱根寄木細工」をモチーフに、日本文化に関する様々なトピックについて学ぶことができる本プログラムをイメージして作成いたしました。
